Summary/Abstract: The goal of the paper is to discuss military training in the Wołyń voivodeship in the years 1921–1939. The Wołyń voivodeship was located in the central-eastern part of the Second Polish Republic. The voivodeship’s eastern border was also the country’s border. People of Polish, Ukrainian, Jewish, German and Czech nationalities lived here. Military training among the inhabitants of Wołyń was popularised by military units stationed in the area. In the interwar period, the infrastructure expanded, and military training of personnel was intensified. The provincial, county and municipal Physical Education and Military Training Committees in the Wołyń voivodeship played a huge role in this respect. Military training was carried out by various organisations, as well as youth and social associations. Various competitions were organized, including ones for archery, shooting and marching. In the 20-year interwar period, military training developed among the urban and rural populations in the voivodeship.
