MECHANISMS OF PROTECTION MINORITIES

Summary/Abstract: One of the biggest problems of the modern world today is respect, or disrespect, ie. Protection or Ksenja minority rights. The democratic nature of a country is being reflected in how it respects minority in their area and how it allows them to be incorporated into the state and society as equal citizens, and that at the same time preserving their identity. In this paper we consider the question of mechanisms for protection of minorities today at the instruments of the United Nations, Council of Europe, the OSCE - a, the European Union and countries bilateral agreements.
