PROGRAME EUROPENE DE COEZIUNE ECONOMICĂ ŞI SOCIALĂ ŞI APLICAREA LOR ÎN ROMÂNIA
EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COHESION PROGRAMS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: The concept of the economical and social cohesion is associated with the European Union, in regard with the solidarity inside member states and their regions, for diminishing of the development differences, growing of the economical competition and, through this, stimulating the general economic growth. Territorial cohesion follow the limitation of the development differencies between geographical regions, urban and rural, center and periphery and so on. This paper aims to present the main instruments of the cohesion policy, as applied to Romania, starting with PHARE, ISPA and SAPARD, with the focus on the first one. Figures and facts are presented in order to show the magnitude of the funds offered through PHARE, in the first decade of 2000’s, even in comparation with our partner in EU accession, Bulgaria.
