Summary/Abstract: The study of changes in the labor market and, in particular, the problem of staffing provision, is becomingincreasingly important in view of the specific activities in enterprises in the field of information technology.Sustainable and effective development in the information technology sector (IT-sector) is possible only if theyhave sufficient quantity and with the required level of knowledge, skills and competencies of human resources.One of the serious problems facing the development of enterprises in the IT-sector is the shortage of staff,both in quantitative and qualitative terms. The purpose of this research is to study, analyze and evaluatethe problem of staffing businesses in the IT-sector in Bulgaria. The state of the labor market in IT-sector ischaracterized Based on statistics and specialized sources. The summarized results of a survey designed toinvestigate staffing problems within IT-sector businesses in Bulgaria are presented. There are also summarizedconclusions provided arising from the study results.
