Specialized open-end investment funds as an external management form of investment funds of life insurance companies

Summary/Abstract: Life insurance companies offer insurance with investment funds. Due to the competitiveness of this offer and the management costs, they entrust the management of these funds outside parties. For this purpose they use most often investment fund companies. The article points out the specific features of insurance investment funds and the reasons for the use of specialist open-end investment funds to manage assets entrusted to outsourced companies by life insurers.
