Summary/Abstract: Scientific studies in Turkey started in the half of the first of 20th century. These studies, which are a little late, have become especially common with the republic and are beginning to be recognized as being important for the cultural history of places names. When the sources of places name have been identified, Divanu Lugait’t-Turk , the first and most important resources, was not neglected. Kasghar taught the turkish language to the arabs and talked in his works about the turkish grammar and traditions and the life style of turkish people at the same time.Kashgarli has also carried the scientific significance in the way he learned the tradition of naming at that time. In this study, the correspondence of the words containing the places's names in Divanu Lugati’t-Turk was found in the book " Köylerimiz(Our Villages)-1993 ". Although being in the Divanu Lugait-Turk, we could not find it in the book " Köylerimiz(Our Villages)-1993 " but it has been listed in the words we think might be the places name.
