Digital Asset Management on the Example of the Baltic Museums

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents some aspects of digital asset management in the organizationon the basis of IT tools and technologies. Structure of the new digital asset managementsystem was proposed. A characteristic feature of the proposed solutions is their focus onthe integration of available software tools and IT technologies and their orientation andfunctioning in cyberspace. The starting point to propose a new digital asset managementsystem are problems in management of digital information that is provided as an collectiondigital resources of Baltic museums, which were the subject of research in the contextof projects BalticMuseums 2.0 and 2.0+.
