The Prediction of Number of Serious Risk Notifications in the RAPEX to Products Originated From China

Summary/Abstract: The RAPEX is used to the rapid exchange of information between Member Statesof the European Union and the European Commission on products causing risk to theconsumer and measures taken against them. The largest share in the RAPEX notificationshave products originating from China despite making by the European Commissioncooperation with the Chinese authorities to reduce this number. The forecast basedon the multiple regression model, taking into account the time, the introduction of theRAPEX-China, and the value of import from China, showed that the number of thosenotifications in 2015 will rise again.
