Summary/Abstract: This article presents some problems for the development of "silver economy", whichmeans an economic activity aimed at meeting the needs arising from the process ofdemographic aging. It is presented in a general way the main areas and determinants of thisphenomenon in the context of the country's economic development, with a particular focus onsmall and medium-sized enterprises.
