Summary/Abstract: This paper shows the way the hippy musical Hair reached the repertoire of Atelje 212, its triumphant successes, expert compliments and criticisms, public opinion, the establishment of the Hair phenomenon and, ϐinally, the ideological contest of the musical. It is based on the archival material of the Archives of Yugoslavia (AJ) and the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (DAMSP), domestic press (daily, youth, party, political, music, fun), talks with contemporaries, and domestic scientiϐic and professional literature.
