Summary/Abstract: Aim: The aim of the study is to identify the processes recommended at the prior work line in an enterprise engaged in the production of leather garments and to demonstrate the temporal changes to be achieved by the implementation of the proposed improvement works. The research data were obtained by observation, interview and time study method. Method: Studies have been carried out in order to make measurements and record measurements, to determine sample sizes, to complete incomplete measurements for measurements where sample sizes are insufficient, to determine yields, to convert observed times into basic times, to determine tolerances and to detect standard times. Findings: At least 10 measurements have been made at the prior work line both in the present condition and in the progress of the improvement studies. In this way, a minimum of 10 measurements is used for 10 measurements below the number of reliable measurements. For those cases where the number of reliable measurements exceeds 10, the missing measurements have been completed. There are seven processes at the prior work line and it was observed that total production time lessened. With the current production system, seven processes at the prior work band take total 16.03 minutes. With the suggested betterment studies, this time dropped to 14.15 minutes and it provides a betterment %12. Results: This increases the production number by 4 pieces in total production time. In a situation that continues ceaselessly, this numerical increase may cause an effective change in the total completed production number.
