Summary/Abstract: Aim: In this study, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) was carried out for acceptance of raw materials and auxiliary materials, input quality control, stocking and intermediate shipment and packaging processes, which are sub processes of the production processes of a company, which operates in the automotive sector and performs metal works . It is aimed to contribute to the development of the FMEA technique and to guide practitioners for their future analysis in case they face failures or aim to prevent potential failures. Method: Case study was employed as a research method. One of the writers took part in the FMEA from the beginning to the end. Findings: Potential failure modes and measures against them were defined. As a result, the processes of raw material and auxiliary material acceptance, input quality control, stocking and intermediate deliveries were improved by 52.6% and packaging by 54.3%. Results: A number of important issues have arisen as a result of this study. The first of these is that the FMEA must be a continuous improvement process. Second, it is important for the moderator to effectively manage the meetings. Finally, while analyzing the types of error effects, the use of decision support systems such as AHP, fuzzy logic, gray theory can make the results more objective.
