Summary/Abstract: This publication accompanies the translation of the chapter Light from Physics, the second part of G. W. F. Hegel’s The Philosophy of Nature. It indicates the translations of the main terms employed in the chapter and names the motives for choosing them. The significance of the translator’s „intuition“ for this translation is acknowledged. Concise clarifications of the main concepts are also presented. The connections among Aufhebung, self-consciousness and light and its importance are emphasized.
