Summary/Abstract: The publication describes the results of the analysis of chemistry textbooks for the 3rd stage of education. The study was conducted in order to obtain in-depth knowledge on the implementation of the first educational goal (general requirements) in the core curriculum for subject chemistry for ISCED 2 level: I. Obtaining, processing and creating information. Student obtains and processes information from multiple sources with the use of information communication technologies. We analyzed the coherence of contents presented in the form of tables and charts used in textbooks with the provisions of the core curriculum. The study covered all the textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education for use in schools, aimed for chemistry education at lower secondary level. The results of the study indicate that the content of almost all the series contains tables and graphs mentioned in the core curriculum, but only in selected textbooks the descriptions on how to read the information from such sources are present. In some analyzed series the diversity of graphs is relatively modest. Only selected series of textbooks use as a source of data analysis the charts, which are different than those directly mentioned in the curriculum.
