On didactics within higher education with the use of scientific method

Summary/Abstract: Workshops entitled „Didactics With the Use of Scientific Method” were conducted in May 2015 for the early years PhD students of the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. The workshops were the part of the compulsory subject „Methods of Teaching in Further Education”. Presented paper describes the main foundations of the workshops, analyses workshops’ realization, presents students’ opinions and calls in the area of training of future scientists and educators. Conclusions and recommendations have been formulated for the future range of topics for such a subject. The analysis of this case study formulates the demand for opening the learning process on the scientific inquiry and development of deep scientific skills. This demand concerns school education levels as well as higher education level. Young scientists should be also equipped with skills and competencies related to good practice in research, such as own research contexts, publications, credibility of science or the science supporting systems in Poland and in Europe.
