Summary/Abstract: The expansion of industrial production in the postwar period has been accompanied by important changes in the structure of Yugoslav industry. Structural changes are long-term processes. New industrial branches and new lines of production create conditions for steady industrial expansion. Different growth rates of production lead to changes in the relative significance of individual branches. Structural changes are, therefore, just as important for assessing the results of development as are the growth rates of industrial production.
