Summary/Abstract: The presence of different religions in Soroca town caused the emergence of many places of worship, many of which disappeared because of natural or political cataclysms. This was the case with St. Nicholas Monastery in 1828, the Church of the St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel in1830, the Great Synagogue in 1932 and the unfinished church St. Paraskeva Pious in 1962. Using several categories of sources, we identified accurately the placement where were St. Nicholas Monastery and the famous “Fountain of the Monastery”. We were able to locate placement of the Church of the Archangels Michael and Gavriil, and the Great Synagogue, built in 1775, using the overlapping of topographical plans of the 18th and 20th centuries. The new city cathedral – St. Paraskeva Pious begin to build in the 1936. Probably the author of the design was architect Valentin Voițehovschi, originally from Soroca. We made the reconstruction of the plan and volumetric model of St. Paraskeva church using old photographs and topographic map made at 1953. However, there were buildings that remained only as unrealized projects, for example the bell tower for the Assumption of the Virgin Mary church and two Roman Catholic Chapels. The possibility to reconstruct these historical architectural monuments in volumetric models and their exact locations was based on studying of the documents from archives with the illustrative cartographic materials, and using of computerized applications.
