Migratory Themes as the Memory of Cinema

Summary/Abstract: The article contains a synthesized panorama of means and methods of studying the phenomenon of migratory themes which have been present for longer and shorter periods of time in the context of film art and culture. The author is in favour of an eclectic, interdisciplinary approach to this issue, which will permit one to select the most appropriate discipline and research method depending on the questions asked and ways of approaching the complex subject of migratory themes. The proposed approach does not mean the pursuit of full scientific universality, but enables the synoptic identification of this phenomenon in selected aspects.
