Summary/Abstract: It is almost imposible to do social and economic history of the pre-industrial Europe without using terms serf, refeudalisation, second serfdom, alodial lordship, agrarian dualism. The article aims to review recent developments in European historiography, conserning these important themes in the history of early modern European social and economic history. To achive a satisfactory level of understanding the new revisionist efforts, first chapter is dedicated to some of the most important lines of investigation, research concepts and models of the 20th century European historiography.
