The Management of the Coastal Region in Terms of the Impact of Tourism on Its Development

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the issues of the coastal region management, with particular emphasis on the role of tourism in its development on the example of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The analysis of variables connected with tourism and the impacton the regional development were focused on. An analytical method for determining trendsand econometric modelling were applied. The legitimacy of the development of business andhealth resort tourism in West Pomeranian Voivodeship was confirmed. Activities in this field should be taken into account in the process of strategic planning in the region.
