Tourism as the Economic Specialization of the Polish Coastal Regions

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is the assessment of importance of tourism in two of Polish seaside voivodeships (West Pomeranian and Pomeranian) with regional tourism specialization. The study has been carried out on Entities of the national economy included in the direct tourist economy were analyzed. Completion of the goal determines research procedure and structure of the article. The tabular and graphical methods have been used in the data analysis. The Pearson’s correlation coefficient was applied in order to establish the relationship between the test variables.
