Using the bibliotherapy for people with intellectual disabilities based on the example of the Community of L’Arche

Summary/Abstract: Authors are giving a description and analysis of the activities considered as bibliotherapeuticthat occur in the Community of L’Arche. These activities take different forms: from educationalbibliotherapy through bibliotherapy of religious texts, to the expressive autobibliotherapy of communityresidents with intellectual disabilities. Elements of reading therapy are naturally presentin L’Arche and can be considered as included in the therapeutic activities and support providedby the described community.
