Summary/Abstract: Universities of the Third Age (U3A) are educational institutions intended for the elderly in retirement age, the so-called third age. A comparative analysis of the activities of U3As from Malta, Hong Kong and Poland during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out in three areas: 1. Change of the organization of the U3A during the pandemic. 2. Problems and needs of U3A students during a pandemic. 3. Forms of support for U3A students offered by a given U3A. The analysis showed among others: the need for organizational and didactic flexibility when changing the form of education to remote; boredom, lack of motivation, anxiety are the most acute emotional problems of U3A students, as well as low level of physical fitness; the necessity of continuous education of elderly people in the area of new information technologies, as well as including therapeutic workshops in the program offer to strengthen the wellbeing, and motivation to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
