Summary/Abstract: Lyrical/Psalmic Expressions – Premises for the Prayer of the Heart. This study is ment to identify the premises for the Prayer of the Heart througout some liric expressions from the Book of the Psalms. First of all, in order to accomplish my purpose I will take into consideration, through some basic concepts, the configuration of the way in which this method of praying was perceived in the orthodox area and also the evolution of this method in time. Secondly, I will identify the texts from the Psalms which involve the expressions/notions on which my study is based. I will also make some specifications regarding the morpho-sematics aspects of those idioms. The following level that I will try to reach is the one concerning the analysis of the verbal structures which form the ideational context of those Psalms. Moreover, I will bring into consideration the patristic writings in order to sketch the soteriological dimension developed of these liric structures. In the conclusion, I will offer to the reader the possibility of finding through this so well-known expression from the Book of Psalms, Lord have mercy, the premises of the Prayer of the Heart.
