DISPOSITION OF POPULATION OF GOČ AND PODGORINA IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX CENTURY AND AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: The paper gives an analysis of the population disposition on Goc Mountainand its foothill. The data relate to the second half of the XX century and the beginning ofthe XXI century. It is a period of intensive economic development, especially the development of tourism. Population and population density increased. After the SecondWorld War, disposition of population was under the influence of the natural-geographic factors. After that, the demographic, socio-historical and economic factors influenced it. Changes in the population disposition caused certain demographic problems, especially on the slopes of Goc Mountain. The paper contributes enriching the knowledge on the population and settlements of Goc Mountain and Western Morava valley.
