Summary/Abstract: Article is trying to analyze the so-called „syndrome of espionage”, putting out on the first place the psychological aspects of the phenomenon, first of all the personality of individual who is work-ing in the secret services (the officer of the intelligence, agent) and the psychological determinants „Syndrom szpiegostwa”...185 of the situation, that is the specific of the context and his surroundings. The issues raised in the ar-ticle needs to take into account the perspective of personality psychology including its features such as temperament, emotions, motivation, cognitive structures in this image I and the identity, moreover, the psychology of extreme situations. The starting point was for the author to adopt the thesis of the dynamic personality of the individual and depending on ambient conditions, which together determine the behavior and its changes. The author also tries to answer the question – if based on a rich material devoted to the psychological concepts of personality and a specificity of action and recruitment requirements and tasks, can you create a model of personality, of a spy and a model of the situation?
