Summary/Abstract: Connection between some concepts of C.G. Jung’s Analytical Psychology and political thought on the ground of authority idea. Social meaning of some threads of Jung’s psychology: relation between individual and community, idea of the archetype and collective aspect of the psyche, make possible to elaborate on meaning of the leadership (leader and shaman as a medicine-man) in context of depth psychology. Presentation of the authority archetype includes Jung’s main examples of well-known dictators based on his lectures on “dictators psychology and diagnosis”. Subject of “Authority and leadership Archetype” is completed by basic assumptions which on the ground of political psychology connecting personality and political leadership. Presentation of views of chosen political philosophers which are a source for contemporary political and psychological thought as well is introduction to this discussion.
