Summary/Abstract: Energetic safety is one of the key issues concerning of national safety of state and its econo-mic development. Management of fuel and energy sector directly influence on the functioning of the economy. Security of national energy supply hasbecome for each country a matter of hard, re-al politics. The main aim of the Polish authorities in terms of energetic safety is increased of it through the internal and external actions. Polish economic integration with the developed countries of the West realized the important political function. At the time of Polish accession to the EU, energetics sector faced a new challenge - adapting to the rules that apply to EU entities. An extre-mely important task of EU remains to develop legal regulations, which in the future, as a treaty ri-ght, will play a key role in creating foreign policy on energetics. In particular, this applies to issues such as security of supply, transit, investment, energy savings and renewable energy sources.
