Summary/Abstract: The flag we are referring to in the present article belongs to the 19th Infantry Regiment. It is a 1922 model according to the Decree no. 1983 from 1922. In the High Decree no. 1932 from 1936 it was decided that flags should carry the name of the battle places their units took part at, in the campaign of 1916-1920. This is extremely important as it is a sign of respect and gratitude for the sacrifices made by those regiments. The problems we confronted ourselves with during the restoration process have made us perform a minimum intervention, respecting the first principle of restoration, not altering the historic message of the flag. We used reversible materials and substances that do not influence the condition of the object and do not alter the structure and the composition of its constitutive parts.
