Summary/Abstract: The restoration of the flags has been and will remain a priority in restoring the objects of the National Military Museum King "Ferdinand I" but also a difficult problem to solve, given the diversity of the materials they are composed of. Before arriving in the museum, the flags had a well-defined function, they were functional, worn on the battlefield, outside, in the weather, with the temperature and humidity variations, all of these factors leaving traces. By presenting the restoration of these regimental flags, we wanted to highlight the importance of the restoration intervention carried out on time, in a responsible way, to stop the degraded events, thereby contributing to the salvage of the military heritage, valuable by the inherited historic load. The restoration procedures and techniques used to restore of these flags did not jeopardize the physical and informational integrity of these pieces, being reversible and non-destructive.
