Summary/Abstract: The current paper brings to light the issue of performing the right to legislative initiative in Romania and starts from the ascertainment that our country, as well as in most democratic states, almost 90% of the legislative initiatives belonging to the Government, which has an apparatus of counselors and experts, as well as the possibility to conduct specialized studies which leads to an easiest way of complying with the conditions imposed by the legislative technique. The study also refers to aspects related with the compared law by the references made to the manner in which the right to legislative initiative is performed in France, Italy and Spain and concludes with proposals for the improvement of the quality of the legislative initiatives.
