Summary/Abstract: “Notre Sienkiewicz”, an article published in 1927 by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz in “La Pologne Littéraire”, he indicates the differing reception of the works of Sienkiewicz in Poland and abroad. He describes “The Trilogy” as “the Polish historic gospel”, at the same time stressing Sienkiewicz’s role in building the national myth and liberation tradition, as well as shaping the national spirit.
