The study involved 2655 teachers from primary and secondary stage of education in the country, who have ranged the importance of the expert selected individual characteristics. The general attitude of teachers for individual approach in dealing with students is also studied. The results show that teachers, in the context of the learning motivation of students, give high importance of knowing student`s interests and age specificities. However, they tend to ignore the personality of the student, the potential of the student and her/his family environment. There is correspondence between the limited interest of teachers in the individual characteristics of students and their common attitude to implement individual approach in school setting.
