Summary/Abstract: The outbreak of World War I strongly affected the Romanian society, tens of thousands of Romanians arrived at the front, which made appear in the pages of the ecclesiastical publications from Banat important news about the mobilized ones, as well as letters sent to the editorial office, both by the military priests and teachers working on the front, as well as simple soldiers who wanted to make known to the world the tragedy they were passing through. In the years of the World War I, the ecclesiastical press, that was subordinate to the church and not to the political class, had an important role, because it presented a series of front data that could reconstitute the atmosphere on the front and make us better understand the drama of the Great War.
