Summary/Abstract: Today's conclusion to the Congress of Vienna underscores its central importance for the history and development of Europe in the long 19th century. The perspective on the Congress of Vienna was and still is determined by the perspectives of individual national historiographies and ideological interpretations. It was more than rushing festivals, operas and theatrical performances and pompous expensive balls and love adventures. The Vienna Congress was an important road mark in an epoch of profound changes in almost all areas of life. This papers aims to analyze the image of the Congress in German historiography.
