Summary/Abstract: After the WWII, the process of household transformation commenced in Vojvodina. Those changes were reflected in large increase of the number of households and decrease in the number of household members, as well as in changes in family structure of the households. The basic reasons for this phenomenon lay not only in dynamic increase of the population and in breakdown of the patriarchal family organization within a household, but also in changes in socio-professional structure of the population, increase in number of divorces, etc.
