Summary/Abstract: This work, using previous researches of socio-demographic influences upon tourist market, studies habits and behavior of tourists while traveling as well as the use of advertising means for the purposes of gaining new information. The poll was conducted among 220 people selected by chance whereas the data analysis was carried out according to gender structure. The aim of this research is to determine if there is a significant difference in the number or motives of travelling, choice of transport means, or in the use of different advertising means between men and women, especially considering the fact that women are those who nowadays more and more direct and arrange the family budget when traveling is concerned.This work, using previous researches of socio-demographic influences upon tourist market, studies habits and behaviour of tourists while travelling as well as the use of advertising means for the purposes of gaining new information.
