Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this study consists in the investigation of the perceptions of pre-primary and primary teachers from Cyprus upon the continuous training programs. The teachers were asked to evaluate the selected ideas for the innovation of the existing in-service training scheme. For this purpose, two focus groups were built, one consisting of primary education teachers and the other one of pre-primary education teachers. The information gathered in these focus groups will be proposed for developing innovative training programs for teachers in Cyprus, as well as being a determinant of the information that must be addressed during the design of future in-service training.
