Importance of communcation in educational process

Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of verbal and nonverbal comunication from an educational perspective, as well as in terms of recovery seriously and profound disabled people who build their communicative behaviors mainly on nonverbal communication. The theoretical study reviews the main theories of communication in Romanian educational and psychological literature, but also foreign one, focusing on theories that have founded the basis of alternative and augmentative systems of communication, developing a new paradigm-approach to students with disabilities. The theoretical results identified by the study refers to the functions and effects of communication towards people with severe and profound disabilities, knowledge that will contribute to highlighting these issues with regard to educational activities for students with disabilities. Ways that could form the basis of unlocking the communication process of these students were suggested, a process which can subsequently build the whole educational process.
