Summary/Abstract: Understanding in conflicting situations requires dialogue which in turn requires the effort of controlling oneself and of turning, together with the person one is speaking to, towards a solution of the problem. Rational Argumentation is the way to follow for both interlocutors, however different their views might be. Discussion and argumentation practice during Practical German classes for German Dapartment students have a double benefit: perfecting their conversation skills and imparting to them the universal value of the culture of communication.
