In particular, two fundamental questions posed by here are about: the level of commitment in the life of the online community, a way to analyze the respond to publications placed on the main fanpage. As a material for this analysis a package of monthly data was build. These package covers: community activities (posts, likes, comments, shares) observed on fan page called „I fucking love science" (IFLS). During the analysis process there have been two types of fan pages and fans identified (thematic, popular). The conducted research posed additional research questions – namely these concerned with the specificity of ways fansbeing active members of IFLS community. It appeared to be that the fan page is not only a posting community but rather a discursive area with a tendency to seek the nature of dominant fanpage communication culture.
