Summary/Abstract: Author deals with a publication Ethnical conflicts in the post-communist area edited by Tomáš Šmíd and Vladimír Vančura. The main element of the book is a theoretical concept of conflictology, which is presentated not only by the theoretical approach, but mostly on the main conflict areas in the post-communist countries. These areas are covering not only the ex-Yugoslav countries, with the main Serb-Croat and Serb-Bosnian confict during the 1990's, but also with not very often analysed conflicts in the area of Caucasus.
