Summary/Abstract: Terrorism, which today constitutes one of the most serious threats to national security, engages many different state bodies and institutions. Effectiveness in the fight against acts of terrorism is largely dependent on the coordination of these factors. Increasing the powers of state bodies in this respect cannot cause a disproportionate increase in restrictions of citizens’ enjoyment of their freedoms and rights. The current anti-terrorism law, as well as a number of related laws doesn’t provide such guarantees and consequently doesn’t increase citizens’ sense of security towards their own state. The article attempts to analyze the adopted solutions and points to the most questionable regulations.
