Summary/Abstract: Individual relationship with family and community is continuous, even if they are in distress or special, as such detention. Thus, in detention, the limitations imposed by the rules of the system, the inmate may keep in contact with family, and how important is the way he perceives the family, how it wants to relate to now, as it is in prison, and after release. In prison can develop contact with the family, but it can and model this way of relating to the family; This process is part of the preparation prisoner reintegration into society after release. The social worker has a key role in the reintegration of women owned and optimize relationships with family and her children. The social worker as a result of specialized training and regulatory existing regulations will work with women prisoners and will help in achieving these goals. Social assistance is defined as a set of institutions, programs, measures, activities professionalized, specialized services to protect individuals, groups and communities with special needs temporarily in need, who are unable to achieve through their own efforts and means a normal decent.
