Summary/Abstract: Strategic documents adopted at European level put special emphasis on the role and contribution of seniors in society. Lifelong learning or volunteering in the community are real and inclusive forms of complement social services specific to these social categories. Many of the projects dedicated to seniors beyond emotional speech about the correlation between generations speak openly about social benefits and direct financial. By developing timely programs, such as social enterprises, enable people over 50 years to be involved in society and to gain theirs demnity. Also solidarity dimension is intended to be achieved even at the community level by including older people in local voluntary programs and activities that help strengthen community identity. Another important objective is to related the promotion of a healthy and independent lifestyle among seniors. The last but not least is initiatives to put accent on cooperation and solidarity among different age categories.
