Is the post-divorce spousal maintenance in Bulgarian law obsolete?

Summary/Abstract: This study seeks an answer to the question of whether the Bulgarian regulation of post-divorce maintenance matches the new social and economic realities and family models. The question arises because the 2009 Family Code essentially adopts the restrictive regulation of maintenance between former spouses, elaborated as a concept during the period of socialism.
