De lege ferenda about the protection of the leased family home

Summary/Abstract: The tendency of increasing numbers of Bulgarian families living on rent makes the question concerning the introduction of protection of the leased family home topical in Bulgaria as well. The article aims to initiate the discussion of the issue. The subject matter of the proposed analysis is the model of protection of the leased family home under the Principles of European family law regarding property relations between spouses. The paper examines the prospects for the adoption of this model and the manner in which it would function within the framework of Bulgarian legal context.
