Summary/Abstract: Glos refers to one of the recent Supreme Court judgements, which addresses a very important and up-to-date issue of the heirship's responsibility for Obligations imposed in criminal proceedings. The Supreme Court stated that the civil nature of the obligation to pay damages causes the liability to be included in the inheritance on a general basis. This view deserves approval only in part, referring to the legal status in force since 1 July 2015. Earlier regulations in the author's assessment exclude the possibility of assuming responsibility by the heirs for the sentence imposed on the convicted criminal.
