Summary/Abstract: The objective of this paper is to focus attention on the environmental problems of Poland’s agri-food sector. Special attention is paid to the environmental dangers resulting from organic and mineral fertilizer use, soil acidification, pesticide use, heavy metal soil pollution, and waste sludge neutralization as seen in the dairy industry. It has been confirmed that environmental pollution is associated with, among others, increased agricultural and livestock production and the processing of agricultural food products. The consequences of these activities are increased volumes of wastes and organic pollution originating in the agri-food industry.
