Summary/Abstract: The modern public library needs, more than ever, to meet the requests generated by users, in connection with the term of “quality,” and when this type of institution is on the information market, ensuring its visibility, beside media, NGO etc. The perception of the members of a community about the library is not only the result of the connection with the institution, at a certain moment. The development, in time, of a certain manner to consider the role of such an information structure, is the result of the continuous presence in the life of the community, by services, cultural activities, positive image, etc. The capacity to develop new services dedicated to the community creates a new status of the public library in the community.
